<Name>head sample</Name>
<Description>
<DescriptionText><text>
head sample laser
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Displays the laser power. The command "laser" is normally used for this
purpose.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
head sample bp
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Displays the two signals from the beam position sensor. Sensor 0 is close to
the LVD board, and Sensor 1 is close to the laser diode. Used for integration.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
head sample focus
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Displays the sum, difference, and error values for the two signals from the
optical distance sensor. It also displays the current lens position as
measured by the Hall effect sensor.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
The difference between the two signals is an uncalibrated measure of the
distance between the final lens and the plate.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
The sum of the two signals is a measure of the total amount of light incident
on the detector.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
The error signal is the difference between the target distance specified by
the foffset head NVS parameter and the actual distance measured by the optical
distance sensor. The actual distance is calculated by dividing the difference
signal by the sum signal and multiplying the result by a scaling constant. See
the head NVS parameter "foffset".
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
head sample edge
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Indicates whether the autofocus laser beam is on or off the plate, and
displays the value of the sum signal from the optical distance sensor. To
change the edge calibration parameters, use the command "plot edge cal".
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
head sample lpos
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Displays the lens position.
</text></DescriptionText>
